Renovation Project

The Actors Gymnasium Renovation

Beginning in August 2008, working with designer Andrei Onegin, The Actors Gymnasium will renovate its classroom/theater facility. Work is scheduled to be completed by September 2010.

Improvements will include:
  • New carpeting on the sprung floor
  • Circus-inspired drapery on the ceiling and walls
  • A new exit door, in the northwest corner, for a more balanced and graceful space layout
  • Redesigned risers (centered in the space) and railings with custom lighting fixtures
  • New and more comfortable audience chairs

When this work is completed, The Actors Gymnasium will be a superior theatrical venue. At the same time, we will be able to provide our students with a more inspiring and magical environment in which to learn and grow.
